Seeds of the League
Seeds of The League is the Art Students League of New York’s community youth program. Seeds partners with public schools and social service organizations across New York City to provide arts programming where it would otherwise not be accessible.Seeds also provides full, public school scholarships to artists ages 8 and up to study with renowned instructors at The Art Students League, allowing students from across the city into The League’s legendary studios. Since its founding, Seeds of The League has given out more than 650 scholarships. Thousands more students have been reached though the program and encouraged to pursue careers in the arts. Seeds students have gone on to earn over $1,000,000 in college scholarships and built careers in a diversity of creative fields: they are now architects, teachers, illustrators, animators and more. Who is eligible for Seeds of the League scholarships?
Seeds offers scholarships to artists ages 8 and up to take classes at The Art Students League and provides internships and employment to award-winning teens, college graduates, and emerging artists. This scholarship gives them the opportunity to gain experience in arts administration and to teach art programs in schools, community centers, as well as arts and social service programs in all five boroughs, benefiting both aspiring art teachers and students.
