Printing Abstraction: Works from the Permanent Collection of the Art Students League of New York

Print is a highly transportable, easily reproducible, and often more financially accessible medium that has launched movements and careers throughout art history. Featuring works from the last sixty-five years, and explores printmaking from within the League’s collection. Through the medium of print, it highlights currents in abstraction, which has been a mainstay of the Art Students League throughout the 20^th century. From woodcut to embossment, these prints celebrate the many possibilities of the form and just some of the great printmakers from the League’s history.

Artists in the exhibition include: Will Barnet, Wörden Day, Dorothy Dehner, Seong Moy, Michael Ponce De Leon, Mavis Pusey, and Jose Urbach.
