About the Artists
Kenichi Ikeda was born in 1995 in Aichi, Japan. Although he did not pursue formal art education early on, he demonstrated a strong dedication to developing his artistic practice. Over the course of his career, Kenichi has participated in more than 10 group exhibitions, including the prestigious Red Dot Winner Show and Grant and Merit scholarship show. In 2023, he was honored with the Gregory Lysun Grant, a recognition of his innovative work. He has also completing the Certificate Program at the League, further refining his skills.
Chris Kwon's work as an abstract artist is shaped by the intersections of the unconscious mind, intuitive processes, and my cultural heritage. Born and raised in South Korea, Kwon moved to the United States at 16, marking the start of a transformative journey. Kwon's South Korean roots, combined with the vibrant energy of New York City’s art scene, form the foundation of her creative practice. Through her art, Kwon explores the convergence of Korean culture and contemporary abstraction, creating visual narratives that engage with the complexities of identity and experience.
Linda Meyer is a multidisciplinary non-representational artist based in New York City, with roots in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, and Kona, Hawaii. Meyer took painting lessons as a child, spent her first semester of college as an art major, fell in love with hand-building ceramics, led a few shibori dying and painting workshops, and served on the board of her local community art center. Her career has been in IT leadership, a discipline requiring much more creative thinking than many might imagine. Eight years ago, following a life-affirming event, Meyer began to steer her focus back towards what brings meaning to her life - making art. In late 2022, Meyer moved to New York City to study full-time at the Art Students League.
