This ongoing partnership between Nordstrom and League at Large features works by League artists Leza Lin, Gail Postal, Susan Rosenfeld, and Jonathan Taub, solicited through an open call. The July 2023 installation celebrates Nordstrom's Anniversary with its signature color: YELLOW! Invited artists were challenged to create work capturing emotions associated with the color: Joy, Happiness, Optimism, Playfulness, Confidence and Curiosity.
League at Large is a program that showcases the work of League artists in public venues outside of the League in order to increase exposure to and appreciation of their work.
Leza Lin
Leza Lin has been observing the magnificent esthetics of Chinese traditional art since a young age. Chinese calligraphy and ink paintings have cultivated her profound appreciation of Art and Cultures. They are the cores of her creative art making and the continuum of the abstract expressions on her multimedia creations. Lin has been utilizing calligraphic expressions such as colors as Light and the lyrical movements to explore the beauty of Abstract Expressionism. To expand and discover the spiritual connection between nature and the humanity that I have been painting with oil, watercolor and sumi ink to create the enigmatic beauty of infinite possibilities. www.lezalin.us
