Xavier Gonzalez and Ethel Edwards Art Sale
This December, the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery is hosting an exclusive sale of work by League artists Xavier Gonzalez and Ethel Edwards.Works for sale will be on display in the gallery December 1–2 and are affordably priced, with several works priced below $100.
Gallery hours for this sale are 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.
About Xavier Gonzalez and Ethel Edwards
Xavier Gonzalez and Ethel Edwards are former instructors of the Art Students League of New York. They traveled frequently and often referenced places they visited in their artwork. In 1947 Gonzalez was awarded aGuggenheim Fellowship. In 1956 he was commissioned by Life Magazine to research and paint monuments in Egypt; the oil paintings he produced are now part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
