The League will be closed May 29–June 4 for routine cleaning and maintenance.
The main office will be open with limited hours. The Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery and the League's Art Supply Store will be closed.
Students will not have access to studios or lockers until June 5.
Students must remove all belongings from the studios. This includes any and all personal belongings, supplies, materials, artworks, tools, and any other items you do not want thrown away. Students must clear all their belongings from the studios and storage racks, as well as anything stored on the tops of lockers or elsewhere in the studios or building. Anything left after 5PM on Sunday, May 28 will be permanently removed from League premises.
Only items stored in paid lockers may be left at the League. All other items will be thrown away.
Lockers that are not in arrears are not emptied during the Clean Out. Students who are not registered for a class in June 2023 must empty the contents of their locker and process their locker withdrawal in-person during office hours or over the phone (212-247-4510 ext. 6). Exceptions will only be made for students who are registered for June classes and members in good standing who have a current/paid locker located in basement Area 2.
Students must remove all sculptures from the clay and casting studios by 5PM, Sunday, May 28. Clay/Stone stands must be cleared of all materials, padlocks, tools, and personal effects.
Students who are registered for a stone or wood carving class in June 2023 may leave 1 stone or wood sculpture in an assigned area in the Stone/Wood Studio. Your registration ticket must be attached to your artwork. The office will print the ticket for you upon request, All other sculpture students (Metal, Ceramic, Wax) must speak to their instructors about any other exceptions to Clean Out rules.
Kiln Firing: Students must have their work ready to fire and placed on the appropriate shelving with kiln paperwork by May 19.
The Main Office will be open Tuesday, May 30–Friday, June 2, from 8:30AM to 4:30PM. The office will be closed Monday, May 29, Saturday June 3, and Sunday, June 4.
