The League’s Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions rotate throughout the year—from installations of student and instructor work to exhibitions pulled from the League’s permanent collection. Free lectures, panels, and films are also hosted here. Three additional galleries – in the Lobby, Registration, and Café Atelier – showcase selections from the League’s permanent collection year-round.

An integral part of the most historically significant and influential art school in the world, the Gallery Department of the Art Students League of New York inspires and engages diverse audiences through its rich collections, exhibitions, and public programs. It collects, exhibits, preserves, researches, and interprets art made by League students and instructors, past and present. It is dedicated to providing educational programming for its students, instructors, and the wider public. Through these efforts, the Gallery Department seeks to foster spaces of learning, discussion, and inspiration for its audiences.
